One of the most common question that an entrepreneur would probably ask is, “How to increase sales?” Finding out how to increase sales everyday is vital to any business, be offline or online business. So if you need to increase your sales follow these quick and easy steps. These steps are a sure way to increase sales.

1. Increase sales through suggestive selling – one sure way to increase sales is by suggesting or up-selling products to customers. Not only is it good service it also helps your business increase sales. This technique I have mentioned is also called “suggestive selling.”

This sales technique is often seen in McDonalds. Like when you buy burger with soda, you are automatically asked “Would you like some fries with that?” Each and every time a customer says “Yes,” means that McDonalds is increasing sales just by asking a simple question.

Make suggestive selling second nature to your business and train your associates to do the same. Incremental sales can really add up in the long run.

2. Increase sales by asking for referrals – call your existing customers or people within your network and ask for referrals. Do not be shy to ask for referrals because the information you will get is crucial to our goal to increase sales.

Say for example you are a baker and you specialized in wedding cakes. You can ask the bride if she has some other friends that are getting married soon. You can give her your business card and she can pass it to her friend/s.
Build your referral network today and you will see for yourself that it will increase sales in the long run.

3. Increase sales by running a special – offering discounts for people who are buying today is a good way of increasing sales. If you sell perishable goods or provide a service anything that is up and above your operating costs is considered as profit and what you do not sell today may not be sold at all. If you are a cleaning agency, offer discounts to fill out your slow days.

4. Increase sales by calling customers – if you have been doing business for quite some time now then I am sure you have the necessary information about these customers. It would be great if you can send them an email informing them of current offers you have or upcoming specials that they are eligible for as existing customers.

Once you have chosen the best plan of action to take to help your business increase sales then you can start working on your marketing plan. Your marketing plan should be able to help you build your business in a strategic way. Your marketing plan should be able to help you increase sales by lessening your business’s “slow days.”

How to make your website sell is probably the first question an aspiring entrepreneur asks when starting-up. What are the dos and don’ts you should follow to make your website sell? By most standards a 10 per cent online lead conversion is something to be proud of. Most companies thrive on much less. So, how exactly will you make your website sell? Here are some tips you can follow to make your website sell:

  1. Site aesthetic – the overall sensory or appearance of a website is just one factor that reliably determines how successful an online business is. If you want to make your website sell you have got to consider its overall appearance. I mean, sure your website might be functional and all however all that would be worthless if it is not visually appealing. If you want to make your website sell make sure that it is visually appealing to visitors. As an aspiring entrepreneur you should consider on investing a little extra for a unique, appealing and clean site that fits your company and brand identity.
  2. Initial hook – offering your visitors purchase incentives is a great technique to make your website sell. If you are a first time buyer you would feel a little hesitant about the cost, the shipment and some other stuff, this is a normal feeling. However, if the website offers incentives such as free shipment, then I am pretty sure that the hesitancy among prospects would be lessened. Offering incentives is also a good way to make your website sell.
  3. Site functionality – greeting visitors with a complicated and burdensome page is not advisable if your goal is to make your website sell. As an entrepreneur your ultimate goal is to make your website sell. With that in mind be sure that your site is ready to move visitors along at their own pace, be sure you are able to deliver customized landing pages and content; also be ready to answer questions promptly. Another useful tip to make your website sell is to provide prospects with toll free numbers and e-mail addresses on every page, as well as fields for visitors to submit their queries.
  4. Tools – if you want to make your website sell it is also advisable that you provide customers with online tools they can use. An online business that can provide this will experience a dramatic change with their lead-conversion.  Keep in mind that our goal is to make your website sell so the usage of a versatile CRM is suitable. Use a system that can segment visitors, manage prospects and customer date, score leads and serve up content to visitors based on their profile. These systems have an immediate impact on an online business’s ROI; in short it has a direct effect on our goal to make your website sell.
