Pay-per-click – 7 Steps to Start Pay-per-click with Google Adwords

Pay-per-click advertising I would have to say is the easiest and fastest way to drive targeted not to mention consistent traffic to your website. Now to some this method of online advertising may be a bit overwhelming, but what they do not see is that it is so easy and can very well end up becoming that one online marketing method they cannot do without.

If your pay-per-click advertising is well planned and executed well then it has the power to drive targeted traffic to your website.

A noticeable increase in profits can be achieved if you manage your per-per-click advertising well. Pay-per-click advertising can boost online profits a lot faster than using natural search campaign methods.

Now, if you have your browsers ready open Google and type in “Get Your Ex-boyfriend back” which is the same stuff we affiliated on in the previous article. Right after you hit that enter key, you are given results that are relevant to the search that you have done.

There are two types of results to look into, the one to your left and the one to your right. The search results to your left are what we call “Natural Search Results,” while the one to your right side is what we call “Pay-per-click advertising.”

If you are planning to engage in online advertising, do not worry that you will get charged every time someone sees your advertisement, no. The only time that you get charged is when someone actually clicks on your advertisement. This is the main reason why pay-per-click advertising is so effective  because only the people who are really interested in your product will most likely click your advertising.

So, how can you get started with pay-per-click advertising? Simple, we can get started with pay-per-click advertising by using Google Adwords. Here are the steps to setting-up an account with Google Adwords and start your pay-per-click advertising campaign.

1. Go to Google and type in Google Adwords Account or just go to adwords.google.com. Then you will see a page with a “Start Now” button at the right side of the screen, just click that button.

2. As soon as you click on Start Now, you will be transferred to a page. Now this page will be asking you if you have an existing Google email or any other email that you can use to start your pay-per-click advertising.
Keep in mind that you need not necessarily use a Gmail account to start your pay-per-click advertising campaign, any email for as long as it is working is fine.

3. To set-up your starter pay-per-click advertising campaign with Google Adwords you need the following:
• A website — unless you are PPC Affiliate
• Your name or business name
• Your TAX ID or VAT details if you are setting up a company account. Remember that once you put in the details for your tax or VAT it cannot be changed anymore so be careful with the information that you provide.
• You also need a credit or debit card since there would be a set-up fee of $10.

4. After you have keyed in those information then you are ready to start with your pay-per-click advertising. Now, is the time wherein you will think of the exact words you will put on your pay-per-click advertisement.

Take some time to think about the product or service you are marketing. If you are not sure then do some research online to see what other ads say but keep in mind that you should not copy from others.

The format will be 25 letters for your headline, 70 letters to explain your product or service then the domain will appear below all those things.

5. After thinking how to best describe your product or service it is time to think of your keyword. Keywords are basically the words or phrases a prospect would most likely use to search for your product or service in Google. Keywords decide which searches can trigger your ad, so enter keywords that specifically describe your product or service.

6. We are almost done with setting up our pay-per-click advertising with Google Adwords. The next step after keywords would be choosing your currency and your budget. Choosing your currency is easy enough, but choosing the budget for your pay-per-click advertising is a bit tricky I would have to say.

The amount that you will set as your daily budget for your pay-per-click advertising would be the maximum amount you will be charged in any given day.

In setting your budget, you need to be realistic, if you are after a competitive area where it costs $2 a click then setting a budget of $10 a day means that the system can only show your ads a few times a day before your budget is up.

7. The last is so easy, this is where you just set-up some information in case you need some help in the future. If you want, Google can provide you with some tips to improve your pay-per-click advertisements, or they can send out some newsletters that might prove to be helpful to your campaign.

Internet marketing has been around for a number of years now and it has many different shapes during those years. It has gone from various changes from banner advertising to e-mail campaigns, and now we are in the age of pay-per-click advertising.

It is understandable that not everyone agrees with the effectiveness of using pay-per-clicks advertising, the one thing nobody can take away from pay-per-clicks advertising is its ability to drive traffic to a website.

Pay-per-click advertising is also referred to as PPC. It is a form of online advertising wherein your guests are directed to an advertiser’s website after clicking on an advertisement, and the advertiser pays for each visitor on a per-click basis, that is why it was coined per-per-click advertising.

Pay-per-click advertising is an effective tool if you want to increase the number of eligible visitors to a website. Before you plunge into pay-per click advertising you must first understand how it works in order for you to launch a successful pay-per-click campaign.

It must be emphasized that the pay-per-click advantages that are stated below are potential advantages, which accrue only with a skillfully implemented and managed pay-per-click campaign.

Many people thought that pay-per-click campaigns are just like any other advertising scheme out there. For this reason the potential advantages of pay-per-click campaigns fail. So instead of earning income from pay-per-click advertising it all goes to waste.

If you give your idea a thorough evaluation, then these are the advantages pay-per-click campaign can do:

1. Pay-per-click advertising is seen as more accurate in targeting your prospects. We all know that advertising is most successful if you are able target the right audience.

Pay-per-click advertising allows you to focus your advertising efforts on a specific region. If you own a local clothes shop, it helps you target your metro area. If your services or products are more widely available, you can expand your reach for potential customers.

2. Since your customers are online then pay-per-click advertising reaches your online customers. Pay-per-click advertising gives you the chance to connect with your online customers. What you can do is create a simple online ad that focuses on your products or services.

One pay-per-click purchase usually gets you into an entire network of online yellow pages and local business search sites. So you have the potential to gain immediate access to millions of potential customers.

3. With per-per-click advertising you can control your costs. Pay-per-click providers allow pay-per-click advertisers to set upper limits for the amount which will be compensated for a single click through and the entire daily spends.

The capacity to set and stick to advertising budgets is an attractive facet of pay-per-click advertising, particularly since the results of pay-per-click are instantaneously seen.

Pay-per-click adverting offers you greater control and flexibility than what is offered by regular search engines. As an advertiser, you have complete control over how much you are willing to pay for increased traffic.

4. Pay-per-click advertising provides you with instant traffic to your website. Like what I have said, as soon as you set up an account immediate results are seen. Moreover, if you are willing to outbid your competitors, you are almost guaranteed a top position (assuming you have a decent ad and your landing page is relevant).

Traffic generated by pay per click advertising is usually more targeted than from organic results because webmasters can control the keywords that they are found under.

5. With pay-per click advertising, the cost depends on the number of times that an advert is clicked through, not the number of times it is shown. Pay-per-click advertising allows the advertisements to be delivered only to a particular geographical area and ensures that the adverts are shown on web pages with associated content.

This tandem of geo-targeting and contextual advertising gives the advertiser high quality traffic, which means high conversions from visitors to buyers.

6. Pay-per-click advertising deals with pre-qualified customers. The people who would likely contact you already have an idea of what you business is all about, or your ad which of course includes a blurb about your products/services, hours of operation and link to your business profile or website.

By the time a customer is contacting you; they are ready to ask questions and are motivated to make a purchase.

Just a note, it is crucial that as soon as a customer shows interest or tries to make a connection it is important that you take action as soon as possible.

7. Pay-per-click advertising is flexible. Pay-per-click advertising assists in accentuating the brand name. From time to time one can include the necessary features and keywords.

If the given set of keywords is not working for you then easily one can remove them and incorporate the new ones. That is how flexible pay-per-click advertising is, if one thing does not work shifting is really easy.
