Increase Blog Subscribers – 7 Tips to Increase Your Blog Subscribers

Share

So right now, you have probably started with your blog. You now maximize the advantages of blogs. But you have one problem, no one is reading, no one is subscribing to your blog. That can be frustrating for you especially if you feel that you write good and valuable articles.

There are a lot of online entrepreneurs who start a blog as a way to connect with their target market, grow authority and help educate other people.

However, even the best content goes to waste if there are no readers or subscribers. If you are an online entrepreneur who is engaged in blogging, building subscribers means finding ways to continually bring new readers to your blog.

Getting new people to view or read your blog is your main concern, but how do you convert those visitors to loyal readers, who are so involved in your blog that they choose to subscribe to it?

It is common knowledge that if a blog’s content is visible in a person’s feed reader every day, then that person will likely click through and visit that blog to read more. Every blogger wants to see the number of subscribers to his blog increase.

So how can you go about increasing your blog subscribers? Read on for some tips.

1. To increase blog subscribers you need to come up with a great content. Remember that no one would return to your blog if your content is not updated regularly nor has nothing unique to say. Make sure that you keep your blog’s content fresh and establish a tone for your blog, then stick to it.

Blogging is just like conversing with someone, it is a two-way street. So it would be helpful if you can inject some personality into your content, provide valuable and meaningful content to your readers and develop a conversation with your readers. Many readers would like to feel some connection with the author.

2. To increase your blog subscribers you need to make sure that it is easy to subscribe. So if you have great content it is now time to check out the subscription process. You need to make it as easy as possible for readers to subscribe to your blog’s feed.

It would be advisable if you place your subscription link in a high visible location on every page of your blog. The top of the page is a great place for your subscription icon. You may also want to try putting a subscription link between your blog posts.

3. To increase blog subscribers you need to ask readers to subscribe. I mean of course no one would really subscribe unless you ask him or her too right. It is not bad to ask readers to subscribe; often times a simple reminder is all it takes to persuade someone to subscribe to your blog.

Consider including a request on your best blog posts saying something like, “If you enjoyed this post, why not subscribe to my feed?” Just remember to include a link to your feed subscription page. This makes it easier for your readers to act on your appeal for subscription.

4. Increase blog subscribers by giving out freebies. A great way to increase blog subscribers is by offering subscribers something extra such as a free gift or extra information that could be helpful to them.

A good example is sending a free eBook to your subscribers. This eBook will give additional information about your blog’s topic or a free newsletter. You could also send a free gift that is of course in line with your blog’s topic.

Always remember that the freebie you are giving out should be meaningful and useful to your readers and provides added value to their experiences on your blog hence you increase blog subscribers in the process.

5. Increase blog subscribers by showing the number of subscribers you have. Once your blog starts to generate some decent traffic and subscribers, you should promote that success to your readers.

Say for example your blog has currently over 100 subscribers, show that figure on your blog. Whatever number seems considerable to you, as soon as you reach that number of subscribers, start to advertise your popularity by displaying it on your blog.

Many visitors, myself included like seeing that, and if we see a significant number then we come to a conclusion that the blog is good and should be subscribed on.

6. Increase blog subscribers by establishing a Twitter feed. A lot of people these days have a Twitter account and they enjoy receiving updates via their Twitter account.

Auto updating your Twitter as your blog posts come and then putting links to subscribe to RSS will increase blog subscriptions and it will also spread links to your blog across the internet.

7. To increase blog subscribers you should also be able to offer email subscriptions. Even in this age of information, many people do not understand RSS and how it works, or some do not like how this system works.

By offering email subscriptions you increase blog subscribers you can cater to, and provides readers a choice in receiving your posts.
